Summer Inclusion Service (Day Camp Support)
What is the Summer Inclusion Service? This service matches your child/youth with a disability with a 1:1 assistant (Inclusion Facilitator) to support them in 1 week of a generic community-based camp as chosen by the family with the child/youth. Families may request 1 week of 1:1 support with an Inclusion Facilitator.*
Suitable for: School-aged children and youth aged 6 -18 years with developmental, physical or neuro-sensory disabilities.
Cost: The family is responsible for program registration and associated fees. The Inclusion Facilitator is provided free of charge.
Location: Municipal and generic community-based summer camps within the Saanich, Oak Bay, Esquimalt, Victoria, and Westshore municipalities. For residents on the Saanich Peninsula, Panorama Recreation will be providing support/inclusion services directly and residents should contact Melanie Alsdorf, Manager of Program Services: 250-655-2174 at Panorama.
