Are you looking for a rewarding and exciting volunteer opportunity?
Volunteer as a Leisure Assistant with Recreation Integration Victoria.
The Leisure Assistance Program provides opportunities for all persons with a disability to become involved in community leisure activities and programs. This service involves matching a person with a disability one-on-one with a volunteer (Leisure Assistant) who has similar recreation and leisure interests.Together they go out into the community and participate in activities that they both enjoy.
Leisure Assistants provide motivation, encouragement and assistance (whether that be physical, social, mental or emotional) to the person with the disability. As a representative from R.I.V., our Leisure Assistants must be motivated, reliable, responsible and enthusiastic individuals, wanting to make a difference in the life of someone else. We are looking for volunteers with integrity and enthusiasm who will respect the participant they are supporting.
